Diamy Wang (she/they) is an audience engagement intern with the Detroit Free Press through the Dow Jones News Fund. She is a rising junior at the University of Pennsylvania studying political science, communications and gender studies. Diamy is also the politics editor and a deputy copy editor at The Daily Pennsylvanian, Penn's independent student newspaper. She's interested in the intersection between politics, policy and identity, and plans to pursue a career in journalism. Originally from Alhambra, Calif., she finds herself defending the West Coast to anyone who will listen.
