Mandi Wright
Staff Photographer
A Free Press staff photographer since 2000, Mandi Wright has gone from film cameras to digital to drone flying for the paper. Though full length documentary film is not in her job description, she won a regional Emmy for her film Accidental Activists: One Couple's Journey to the U.S. Supreme Court, a film documenting the four-year court battle of a metro Detroit couple that lead to the legalization of same-sex marriage nation wide. When Wright isn't working on stories for the Free Press she is most likely exploring the universe on her motorcycle.
