Janet started her career as a sportswriter and covered everything from croquet and polo matches (including a few with Prince Charles) in Palm Beach to a World Series and four Final Fours in Cincinnati. She came to Detroit as a copy editor in 2002 and despite the outrageous cost of auto insurance and the ridiculous roads, she has stayed 16 years. She has edited everything from sports to news to business to editorials to features at the Free Press. Along the way, she convinced a special Bruce Springsteen fan who she met through a fan group to move to Detroit and they happily live downtown where they really can see Canada from their window. They enjoy reading, going to movies and travel when they can, especially to his hometown of Boston.
