Carmela Guaglianone is a Dow Jones News Fund data intern with the Detroit Free Press. She recently completed her master's degree in Global Journalism from NYU and holds a bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Decision Sciences and International Comparative Studies from Duke University. Prior to completing her master's, Carmela worked on the digital team at the San Francisco Examiner. She was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona.
