Seidel has written about everything from the World Series to the Little League World Series, with three Olympic Games mixed in between. Before becoming a sports columnist, Seidel was a features writer at the Free Press. He covered the war in Iraq as an embedded reporter and crossed the border sitting on a box of explosives in a truck with Marines, Hurricane Katrina out of a motor home and homicides in Detroit, sitting in the back seat of a detective's car.
