Harris announces Walz as VP pick. The Freep wants to know what you think.
After weeks of fevered debate, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, announced her VP pick: It’s Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, mentioned as a presidential or vice presidential hopeful, quickly took herself out of the running, and debate had centered on Walz, Govs. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, Andy Beshear of Kentucky and U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Arizona.
"Walz, 60, brings political acuity, suburban-and-rural appeal and progressive patriotism to a competition where all three criteria are seen as helpful for Democrats to clinch a 2024 win against the Republican ticket of former President Donald Trump and and Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio," the USA Today network reported Tuesday.
The pair embark on a blitz of swing states starting Tuesday, and will speak in Detroit on Wednesday.
Do you think Harris made the right choice? Are you more or less inclined to vote for her? Who do you think she should've chosen instead? Will her pick shift the course of the election? Tell us what you think.
