Severe thunderstorms, hail and flooding expected to hit southeast Michigan Wednesday
A severe thunderstorm watch for southeast Michigan is in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Wayne, Oakland and Macomb are among the affected counties, according to the National Weather Service. Hail reaching an inch may hit, along with 60 mph wind gusts and lightning.
NWS warns against flooding in poor drainage areas and near creeks and lakes.
Up to a half inch of rain is expected Wednesday, with higher amounts possible in storms. A high of 87 and low of 68 is forecasted.
Scattered showers are forecasted until Thursday night with a brief reprieve on Friday, before rain continues through the weekend, NWS reported.

Parts of Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania are also under the storm watch.
