Severe thunderstorms in southeast Michigan have caused several power outages throughout the area.

DTE Energy has reported that about 116,164 customers are out of power, as of 6:06 a.m. Thursday.

Areas in southern Oakland County, plus Clinton Township and Mount Clemens in Macomb County are experiencing a large number of outages due to wind damage, according to DTE's Outage Center.

Repair crews were busy working on snapped power and cable lines around parts of Metro Detroit including here near Haggerty Road and Grand River Avenue in Farmington Hills on July 8, 2021. Severe storms left damage from fallen branches to power outages.

Those impacted are asked to report power outages and downed power lines via DTE Energy's mobile app or by visiting their website.
