Voting has now closed across most of Michigan for the state's August primary election. It's time for the election results.
Polls closed at 8 p.m. Eastern time in Michigan, except for four counties in the Upper Peninsula that are in the Central time zone. Polls don't close until 9 p.m. Eastern time in Dickinson, Gogebic, Iron and Menominee counties.
Anyone who is in line to vote when the polls close can remain in line and still legally cast their ballots in Michigan's primary election, according to the Michigan Secretary of State's Office.
Michigan voters had choices to make Tuesday in a statewide U.S. Senate primary, as well as in primaries for the U.S. House, the state House and many county offices. Learn more about the races and candidates with the Free Press voter guide.
