In addition, Bruce Felts of Mad Nice Detroit will serve as sommelier, and restaurateur Jeremy Sasson of Heirloom Hospitality (Mad Nice, Prime + Proper, Townhouse) will be the evening's maitre d'.

The event begins at 4:30 with a cocktail reception followed by the 6 p.m. tasting menu with wine pairings. Tickets are $275 with reservations available at opentable.com.

Over the years, DelSignore has been a creative force in metro Detroit's evolving dining scene and is known for educating and influencing others in the industry.

He was the subject of “Dinner in Abruzzo: A Journey Home with My Culinary Godfather,” a documentary by former Free Press restaurant critic Mark Kurlyandchik. The film follows DelSignore and Mabel Gray's Rigato, who refers to DelSignore as the godfather of metro Detroit chefs, to the Abruzzo region of Italy.
