Free documentary screening at Oakland University
Local filmmaker Razi Jafri brings his latest film to Oakland University tomorrow afternoon as part of a collaboration between the University and Freep Film Festival, the documentary film festival produced by the Detroit Free Press. "Three Chaplains," directed by David Washburn and produced by Jafri, explores the journey of Muslim chaplains striving to create change within the U.S. military, advocating for equality and religious freedom from within its powerful ranks. The screening is a precursor to the full Freep Film Festival which is scheduled to kick off on April 10 with "Rouge," the opening night film also produced by Jafri. After the screening filmmakers David Washburn & Razi Jafri will participate in a panel discussion.
