Kevin Hart adds 2nd January 2025 show at Fox Theatre due to overwhelming demand
Due to overwhelming demand, Emmy- and Grammy-nominated comedian and Mark Twain Prize recipient Kevin Hart announced this week that he has added a second show to his “Acting My Age” stand-up comedy tour at Detroit’s Fox Theatre in January.
The originally scheduled Friday, Jan. 10, performance will still take place, and newly added is a Saturday, Jan. 11 show.
“’Acting My Age’ is my ninth tour, and I wanted to change things up by creating a more intimate environment,” Hart said in a press statement. “This hour is about connecting with the audience and feeding off the crowd’s energy and laughter.”
The “more intimate environment” Hart refers to will be created by removing cell phones from the scenario. The event is billed as “a phone-free experience,” and use of phones will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, phones will be secured in individual pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times, and can access them throughout the event only in designated phone use areas within the venue.
Anyone seen using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security.
