Game notes: The Detroit Tigers will look to end their three game losing streak in the series finale against the San Francisco Giants at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday. The Tigers lost on a walk-off flyout Friday night and were unable to muster enough offense on Saturday, scoring just one run, leading to a pair of losses. After winning the first two games of their West Coast trip, the Tigers need to knock off the Giants Sunday to finish the trip .500 before heading home to host the Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees in the coming days.
Keider Montero is set to start for the Tigers on Sunday after one of his best starts of the year. No matter what, the Tigers will be looking for Montero to fill some innings for an overworked bullpen that has been carrying the load.
