Detroit Zoo's Wild Summer Nights concert series returns with family-friendly entertainment

The Detroit Zoo’s Wild Summer Nights concert returns this week for another season of live music and fun on the zoo’s lawn, with a variety of entertainment for all ages.

The Detroit Zoo's Wild Summer Nights concert series returns on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

The schedule for the four-concert series is as follows:

  • Wednesday, July 24: Enchanted Princess Party
  • Wednesday, Aug. 7: Your Generation in Concert
  • Wednesday, Aug. 21: Shamrock Jazz Orchestra
  • Monday, Aug. 26: The Prolifics (rescheduled from originally planned start date of July 10)

“The Wild Summer Nights Concert Series is a great way to spend your summer evenings at the Zoo, enjoy some family-friendly fun and discover music from local artists,” said senior events manager Megan Gregg. “Whether you're into throwback tunes, rock hits or renditions of your favorite children’s songs, there's a concert for everyone.”

The concerts take place from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Detroit Zoo, 8450 W. 10 Mile Rd., Royal Oak. Each event is free with zoo admission; zoo members enter free. For more information, visit detroitzoo.org.
